Bev, a native Georgian, spent time in several parts of the country before finding her way to Austin. However, her feet (and her beautiful garden) have remained firmly planted in Texas soil for nearly thirty years!
A true renaissance woman, Bev earned her B.A. in Urban Studies from Denison University before beginning a career with Stanley Kaplan Educational Centers in Boston. After moving to Austin, she went on to get a Master's degree in Library Science from The University of Texas, and eventually completed other coursework at Southwest Texas. She then taught for almost two decades at Lake Travis High School, from which she retired in May of 2018.
Not one to rest on her laurels, Bev immediately joined her daughter and son-in-law in real estate and her "retirement" is being spent as their assistant, though that title really doesn't do justice to the amount of managing, organizing, wrangling, and juggling she does every day! In December of 2018, Bev joined Guy and Morgan in their move to Compass, and together the three of them formed The Oberg Group. She is the team's secret weapon and keeps everything running smoothly, so don't hesitate to contact her with your questions!
When not handling the Obergs, Bev can be found in her garden or in front of a partially completed quilt, though she happily takes breaks to spend time with her husband Tom and her children and grandchildren.
